Overview

Cervical Cancer survival rates provide important information about the prognosis of the disease. They measure the percentage of people with Cervical Cancer who are still alive a certain number of years following diagnosis. They can help physicians understand the effectiveness of treatment and help patients and families understand how their own prognosis may compare to average findings. The higher the rate, the better the prognosis for individuals with Cervical Cancer. Survival rates for Cervical Cancer are improving as new treatments become available, but there are still many women who do not survive this cancer.
