Overview
Autophagic cell Death is a type of programmed cell Death initiated by cells in response to various cellular stressors. It involves the controlled digestion and degradation of cell components through the lysosomal pathway. This process plays an important role in cellular homeostasis, as it allows cells to remove damaged or superfluous components. Furthermore, autophagic cell Death is associated with a wide range of physiological and pathological processes, including aging, cancer, metabolic diseases, and infectious diseases.
