Overview
Fetal Surgery and neonatal intensive care is a rapidly emerging field of medicine which focuses on the care of newborns and unborn babies. This specialised care focuses on treating and identifying health problems as early as possible in order to improve the overall health and well-being of the infant. Fetal Surgery is used to repair any abnormalities or complications before birth, and this early intervention can lead to improved outcomes and quality of life for the baby. Neonatal intensive care units provide the best available care for newborn and premature infants, such as monitoring, regulating temperature, administering medication, and providing oxygen therapy. This specialised and intensive care can help to ensure that babies get the best start in life, and can help to reduce long-term complications or problems associated with prematurity.
