Septic Shock

Septic shock is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the body's overactive response to infection. In septic shock, the immune system releases a surge of chemicals that cause widespread inflammation. This leads to reduced blood pressure, leading to inadequate blood flow to the organs and impaired oxygen delivery.
