Overview

Animal Migration is the process of animals moving from one place to another. It typically occurs on a seasonal basis and is essential to many ecosystems. Animals move for various reasons including seeking food, avoiding predators, and mating. Migration can take place over long distances, such as when birds fly south for the winter, or over short distances within a single habitat.
