Biography:
Ahmad Arzani earned his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from the University of Sydney on June 6th, 1994. Professor Arzani currently works at the Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding, Isfahan University of Technology. He does research in Plant Genetics and Breeding. A. Arzani's major interest is genetics and breeding of cereal crops which concentrates on the improvement of resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. He is currently Principal Investigator of three research projects including “Breeding for drought tolerance in wheat and triticale”; “Introgression of salinity tolerance from Aegilops cylindrica to wheat via hybridization and transformation” and “Breeding for salinity tolerance in wheat and triticale”
