Biography
Dr. Christopher Ochner, MBA, PhD, MS, completed his PhD in clinical psychology at Drexel University in 2006 and subsequently held an NIH grant fellowship at the Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition/New York Obesity Nutrition Research Center. In 2009, he received an NIH career development award and was promoted to faculty at the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, becoming the youngest Columbia faculty to run an independent research laboratory and publishing over 20 peer-reviewed articles since that time. His research focuses on obesity prevention and treatment, nutrition, weight management, bariatric interventions, and fMRI studies. Dr. Ochner is currently affiliated with Modern Trials Inc. in Miami Beach, FL, where he continues his work in clinical research and has served as a mentor for graduate students, Fulbright scholars, residents, and fellows.
