Reason for Retraction

This is a retraction notice. VIEW THE RETRACTED ARTICLE (https://doi.org/10.14302/issn.2997-2086.jfs-23-4651), which was published on 12 April 2024

This notice is issued by the Editorial Manager on behalf of the Journal of Fetal Surgery (Open Access Pub).

Citation of retracted article: Muhammad Osama Siddiqui; Haya Shahzad; Insa Binte Anwar (2024). Leap into Fetal Surgery; In Utero Placental Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy, A Contemporary Approach to Treating Myelomeningocele. Journal of Fetal Surgery 1(2):1–14. DOI: 10.14302/issn.2997-2086.jfs-23-4651. Published: 12 April 2024.

Reason for retraction: Following an editorial investigation, we confirmed redundant (duplicate) publication. A substantially similar article by the same authors was previously published on 11 March 2024 in Journal of Regenerative Medicine 13(2), DOI: 10.4172/2325-9620.1000297. The earlier publication constitutes the version of record. The later Journal of Fetal Surgery publication did not disclose prior publication or meet the requirements for acceptable secondary publication.

Process: The investigation followed COPE guidance for handling redundant publication. The corresponding author(s) and the editor of the other journal were notified and given the opportunity to respond prior to this decision. The Editorial Manager determined that retraction is required to correct the scholarly record.

Record status: The retracted article remains available to maintain the scholarly record and is clearly marked RETRACTED on the HTML and PDF. This notice links to the article, and the article links to this notice. The article’s open-license terms remain unchanged.

Approvals: Approved by the Editorial Manager of Journal of Fetal Surgery.

Date of retraction: 10 April 2025.
