Journal of Biomaterials (JBI)

Advancing Biomaterial Science Through Rigorous Research and Innovation

The Journal of Biomaterials (JBI) is a premier open-access, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing the fundamental science of biomaterial design, synthesis, characterization, and fabrication. We serve as a vital platform for researchers, engineers, and material scientists committed to developing the next generation of biocompatible materials that form the foundation of medical innovation.

Our Mission: Pioneering Biomaterial Research

JBI focuses exclusively on the material science aspects of biomaterials - their composition, structure, properties, fabrication methods, and pre-clinical characterization. Our editorial approach emphasizes rigorous experimental methodology, reproducible results, and fundamental understanding of material behavior at the molecular, cellular, and tissue interface levels.

As an interdisciplinary journal, we bridge chemistry, materials engineering, physics, and biological sciences to publish high-impact research that establishes the scientific foundation for biomaterial applications. We publish original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and technical communications that meet the highest standards of scientific rigor and innovation.
