Align with the issue scope
To contribute to an ongoing special issue, select the relevant issue title during submission and mention it in your cover letter. Ensure that your manuscript aligns with the specific scope described by the guest editors.
Special issue submissions receive the same editorial screening and peer review as regular articles. Accepted papers are published immediately upon completion of production and then listed on the special issue page.
Deadlines: Each ongoing issue has its own submission window. Authors should submit early to allow time for review and revisions before the closing date.
Guest Editor Guidance: Guest editors may request specific reporting standards or data formats. Follow the issue specific guidance alongside the main author instructions.
Visibility Benefits: Special issues are promoted as cohesive collections, increasing readership and citation potential for participating authors.
Align your manuscript with the theme
Select the special issue that best aligns with your manuscript topic and methods. If your study spans multiple themes, choose the issue where your findings provide the clearest contribution and indicate cross discipline relevance in the cover letter.
Authors can contact the editorial office for guidance if they are unsure which issue is the best fit.
