Guest Editor Opportunity
Experimental and Clinical Toxicology invites proposals for Special Issues addressing emerging topics, significant developments, and underserved areas within toxicology research requiring focused scholarly attention.
Special Issues gather related research into thematic collections with enhanced visibility and impact. Guest Editors provide intellectual leadership shaping collection scope, recruiting contributions, and ensuring cohesive scientific narrative. These focused collections attract targeted readership and demonstrate community interest in emerging research directions.
Successful Special Issues become cited reference points for their research areas, providing comprehensive coverage that individual articles cannot achieve. The collection format enables deeper exploration of complex topics through multiple complementary perspectives and methodological approaches.

We welcome proposals addressing significant developments in toxicology research. Priority areas include emerging environmental contaminants such as PFAS, microplastics, and nanomaterials. Alternative testing methodologies supporting 3Rs principles and regulatory acceptance receive strong interest. Computational toxicology approaches including QSAR, read-across, and machine learning applications represent growing importance.
Clinical and regulatory toxicology topics are also welcome, including adverse outcome pathways, organ-specific toxicity mechanisms, biomarker development, and translational applications. Cross-disciplinary proposals connecting toxicology with epidemiology, exposure science, or public health are encouraged where they advance understanding of toxic substance effects.
