How JHC’s identifiers, DOI registration, article-level repository deposit, discovery, and preservation arrangements relate.
JHC distinguishes journal-level indexing from article-level repository deposit, Crossref DOI registration, article discovery, and long-term digital preservation.
Journal identifiers and DOIs
The ISSN identifies the serial publication. Every published JHC article is assigned a Crossref DOI and registered metadata.
ISSN
JHC is recorded in the ISSN Portal as ISSN 2329-9487.
Crossref DOI registration
A DOI provides a persistent article identifier and a link to the article record. DOI registration is distinct from journal-level indexing.
Article discovery
JHC articles can be located through article landing pages, Crossref DOI metadata, citations, and scholarly search services.
Journal-level indexing
Journal-level indexing is established by a journal-specific record in the named service.
Article-level discovery
DOIs, article landing pages, citations, and search results help readers locate individual articles.
NIH-Funded Articles and PubMed Central
JHC is not currently included as a journal in the PubMed Central Journal List. Eligible articles resulting from NIH-funded research may be deposited individually in PubMed Central through the NIH Manuscript Submission system in accordance with the NIH Public Access Policy.
Article-level deposit
This route is available when an article is eligible under the NIH or another participating funder’s public-access policy. Authors are responsible for confirming eligibility and completing the required NIHMS process.
How to interpret deposit
Deposit of an individual JHC article in PubMed Central does not mean that JHC is indexed in PubMed or included in the PubMed Central Journal List.
Long-Term Digital Preservation
Open Access Pub participates in the Portico digital-preservation programme. The Journal of Hypertension and Cardiology, ISSN 2329-9487, is listed by Portico.
Preservation arrangement
JHC’s published content is included in Open Access Pub’s Portico preservation arrangement and is scheduled for long-term digital preservation.
Current status
Portico currently lists the journal with the status “queued,” indicating that preservation processing is in progress or awaiting completion.
