Aims And Scope

Journal of Sleep and Sleep Disorder Research (JSDR) is a peer-reviewed open access journal focused on advances in understanding and treating sleep disorders. Its scope covers the entire range of topics related to sleep studies, clinical practice, research on sleep-related pathophysiology, and cutting-edge treatments for a variety of sleep disorders. It publishes original research articles, review articles, editorials, and commentaries on topics such as sleep medicine, circadian rhythms, sleep deprivation, treatments, evaluation, and pediatrics. 

 

The journal provides perspective on the impacts of sleep and sleep disorders on physical health, mental health, and overall well-being. This can include research studies on the physiological, psychological, and behavioral aspects of normal, disrupted, and disturbed sleep, with potential for clinical application, sleep and obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, affective disorders, pain, and other chronic conditions, sleep and circadian rhythms, sleep and respiratory control, sleep disorders, sleep and cardiovascular health, environmental influences on sleep, developmental aspects of sleep, and the organization and clinical treatments of sleep disturbances and focus on the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related disorders including disturbed sleep, sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, parasomnias, and sleep-disordered breathing. Authors are encouraged to submit research that covers both basic and clinical sleep research, as well as topics related to the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of sleep-related disorders.

 

Journal publishing research on the scientific and medical aspects of sleep and sleep disorders, such as circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, parasomnias, cluster headache, primary headaches, frequent movement disorders, and sleep-related breathing disorders. JSDR provides an interdisciplinary forum for scientific discussion of current research topics in the field of sleep and sleep disorders. The journal aims to promote the development of effective approaches to understanding and managing sleep-related disorders.

 

JSDR accepts manuscripts from all research areas related to sleep and sleep disorder research, including basic, clinical, and epidemiological studies. Examples of topics related to the journal's scope include sleep physiology, psychiatric aspects of sleep and its associated disorders, animal studies related to sleep, new diagnostic technologies and treatments for sleep, as well as epidemiological studies.

 

We welcome submissions from medical professionals, physical therapists, psychologists, bioinformaticians, epidemiologists, sports physicians, nutritionists, public-health officials, nurses, and those with research skills in the field of health, physical sciences, and social sciences.
