Dr. Lucio Mango is a highly esteemed figure in the Italian medical community, with a distinguished career spanning decades in nuclear medicine, oncology, and endocrinology. He is a Professor at the International University of Rome (UNINT) and serves as the Director of Nuclear Medicine at Paideia Hospital. Dr. Mango is a pioneer in the application of radioisotopes for the diagnosis and therapy (theranostics) of various diseases, particularly cancer. His work has been instrumental in advancing diagnostic imaging techniques like PET and SPECT and in the development of radiometabolic therapies for thyroid cancer and neuroendocrine tumors.
