Copyright & License
Open access licensing supporting broad dissemination of pathology research.
Creative Commons Open Access
JCDP publishes all articles under Creative Commons licensing, ensuring immediate free access while protecting author rights. This model maximizes research impact by removing access barriers for laboratories and researchers worldwide.
CC BY 4.0: Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Anyone may share, copy, redistribute, and adapt the material in any medium for any purpose, including commercial use, provided appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and source.
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright while granting JCDP publication rights. You maintain full ownership of your diagnostic research.
Self-Archiving
Deposit published versions in institutional repositories, personal websites, and subject archives without embargo.
Reuse Rights
Freely reuse your own published content for teaching, presentations, and derivative works with proper citation.
Users must cite original authors, article title, journal name, volume/issue, and DOI when reusing content. Modifications should be noted. The license does not imply endorsement of derivative works by original authors.
When including previously published figures, tables, or extensive quotations, authors must obtain permissions and provide appropriate attribution. Some materials may have different license terms requiring specific acknowledgment.
By submitting manuscripts, authors warrant that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and does not infringe upon third-party rights. Authors confirm they have obtained necessary permissions for any reproduced content and that all authors have approved the final manuscript version for submission and publication.
JCDP commits to maintaining published content accessibility and integrity. We promptly address legitimate concerns about published work and issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when warranted following Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines. Published content remains permanently available through our archiving partnerships.
Under CC BY licensing, published articles may be translated into other languages provided appropriate attribution is maintained. Translations must clearly identify the original source and indicate the translator. Authors wishing to provide official translations may contact the editorial office.
CC BY licensing permits commercial reuse of published content with proper attribution. This may include inclusion in commercial databases, educational materials, or derivative products. Authors concerned about specific commercial uses should consider this before submission.
Authors who posted preprint versions before journal submission retain those preprint rights. The final published version carries the CC BY license. Authors should update preprints with links to the published version for reader convenience, proper citation tracking, and accurate attribution.
