Membership
Membership is an optional relationship with the publisher. It supports open-access publication and carries a discount on the article processing charge.
It confers no advantage in the review or acceptance of a member’s own manuscripts.

What membership includes
- Individual researcher
USD 199 per year
A 15% discount on the article processing charge for an accepted manuscript, together with journal and call-for-papers updates.
- Research laboratory
USD 599 per year
A 25% discount on the article processing charge for accepted manuscripts covering up to five authors, together with journal and call-for-papers updates.
Membership is arranged through the editorial office. Discounts apply to the charge described on the Article Processing Charges page and are applied at invoicing.
Membership is optional. Manuscripts from members and non-members enter the same editorial process and are assessed against the same criteria.
Editorial decisions are independent of fees, services, membership, and editorial or reviewer roles.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Boundaries
What membership does not affect
Membership is separate from the editorial process. It does not change the order in which manuscripts are handled, the reviewers selected, the standard applied to the evidence, or the decision reached. A member’s manuscript is screened, reviewed and decided exactly as any other manuscript is.
Membership is not a submission entitlement: it does not reserve space in an issue and does not accompany a manuscript through review.
