Core Responsibilities

Manuscript Assessment

Evaluate submissions for scientific merit, clinical relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to oncology. Determine scope fit before initiating review.

Reviewer Selection

Identify qualified oncologists and cancer researchers without conflicts of interest. Balance clinical and basic science perspectives for comprehensive evaluation.

Decision Authority

Make accept, revise, or reject decisions based on reviewer reports and independent oncology judgment. Provide clear, constructive feedback to authors.

Timeline Management

Maintain efficient processing. Cancer researchers value rapid publication—ensure timely reviewer invitations and decision communication.

Ethical Conduct
  • Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents
  • Recuse from manuscripts with pharmaceutical or personal conflicts
  • Avoid using unpublished oncology findings from submissions
  • Report suspected misconduct or data fabrication to Editor-in-Chief
