TCGA/GDC Integration
Studies using TCGA data should cite appropriately and deposit complementary data following GDC guidelines for cancer genomics harmonization.
Cell Line Authentication
Report STR profiling results for all cancer cell lines. Deposit novel cell lines in recognized repositories like ATCC with authentication data.
Biospecimen Sharing
Consider biobank deposit for validated PDX models, organoids, and rare tumor specimens enabling collaborative cancer research.
Code Repositories
Analysis code should be deposited in GitHub with version control. Include documentation and example datasets enabling reproducibility.
Patient Privacy: For oncology datasets with sensitive patient information, controlled access through dbGaP, EGA, or institutional data sharing agreements satisfies transparency requirements while protecting privacy.
