Biography:
- Dr. Dongmei Wu received education in pharmaceutical science and clinical medicine in China.
- She was a Visiting Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma KG, Germany, and received PhD in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from University of Amsterdam.
- Dr. Wu completed Post-Doctoral Fellowship programs from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium and Ohio State University, USA.
- In 2001, she joined the Department of Research, Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, as a Research Scientist.
- Dr. Wu was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor (2002-2008) and Affiliated Associate Professor (2008-2009) at Florida International University, USA.
- In 2010, Dr. Wu joined the World Class University Program, Department of BIN Fusion Technology, Chonbuk National University, South Korea.
- Dr. Wu's research involves developing multidimensional approaches to examine the mechanisms of cardiovascular-pulmonary injury and multi-organ dysfunction, and to develop therapeutic strategies to prevent, slow, or reverse the progression of cardiovascular-pulmonary disease.
