What this journal publishes
Journal of Hematology and Oncology Research publishes basic, translational, clinical and diagnostic research that advances the understanding or treatment of blood disorders and cancer. Work is judged on whether it contributes to disease biology or to patient outcomes — through mechanistic insight, clinical observation, translational application or diagnostic innovation.

Cancer genomics and epigenetic modification in tumorigenesis, signal transduction driving malignant transformation, tumor microenvironment interactions, cancer stem cell biology, and the molecular basis of metastasis and invasion.

Mechanisms of hematopoiesis and lineage commitment, pathogenesis of leukemias and lymphomas, genetic and epigenetic drivers of hematologic malignancy, hemolytic anemias and coagulopathies, and the bone marrow microenvironment.

Single-blind (double-blind on request)
Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts. Authors who prefer double-blind review may request it by omitting identifying information from the manuscript and giving it only in the cover letter.

Accepted work is published open access under CC BY 4.0 with a Crossref DOI. Corrections, expressions of concern and retractions follow COPE protocols and are signalled through CrossMark.

What does the Journal of Hematology and Oncology Research publish?
JHOR publishes peer-reviewed research across hematology and oncology: molecular oncology, hematological pathophysiology, cancer immunology, and biomarkers and molecular diagnostics.
